Gezamenlijk werken we aan een nieuwe balans in het erkennen en waarderen van wetenschappelijk werk. Wij zijn ervan overtuigd dat een complex verandervraagstuk zoals het anders erkennen en waarderen van wetenschappers een dialogische veranderaanpak vereist. Die aanpak begint met het cre\u00ebren van een open gespreksklimaat waarin mensen veilig kunnen zeggen wat ze denken en nadrukkelijk aangemoedigd worden om hun mening te uiten. Uiteindelijk richt de veranderaanpak zich op gedragsverandering, culturele inbedding en op nieuwe structuren en systemen die daaraan bijdragen.<\/h3><p>Op donderdag 6 juni vond zo\u2019n dialoogsessie plaats in Maastricht. Ruim vijftig personen reisden af naar de zuidelijkste stad van het land om met elkaar te spreken over de resultaten van de Erkennen &amp; Waarderen cultuurbarometer. Een groot deel van de deelnemers houdt zich vrijwel dagelijks bezig met het realiseren van de ambities van het programma Erkennen &amp; Waarderen in de eigen instelling, zoals projectleiders, commissievoorzitters en communicatieadviseurs. Positief was de aanwezigheid van verschillende bestuurders, die daarmee blijk gaven van hun betrokkenheid aan en steun voor het programma Erkennen &amp; Waarderen. Inzet van de bijeenkomst was de vraag hoe we de resultaten moeten duiden en wat we ervan kunnen leren. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element In de zaal stonden zeven gesprekstafels met elk een eigen thema klaar. Deelnemers kozen zelf het thema waarover zij het gesprek wilden voeren. Tijdens twee gespreksrondes schoven telkens vijf tot tien mensen aan om over het betreffende thema van gedachten te wisselen. Voorafgaand aan de bijeenkomst identificeerden we zes thema\u2019s die naar voren kwamen in het rapport met de resultaten van de Erkennen &amp; Waarderen cultuurbarometer: <\/p><ol><li>Bekendheid en steun voor Erkennen &amp; Waarderen<\/li><li>Ervaren veranderingen in erkenning en waardering<\/li><li>Ontwikkeling en loopbaanstappen<\/li><li>Teamspirit en leiderschap<\/li><li>Zorgen en kansen<\/li><li><em>Early career<\/em> wetenschappers<\/li><\/ol><p>Ten slotte was er ook een open tafel, waar de deelnemers zelf een thema konden aandragen. In 2020 zijn we het gezamenlijke programma Erkennen &amp; Waarderen begonnen. Inmiddels zijn we vier jaar verder en het eerlijke verhaal is dat lang niet alles goed gaat. Tijdens de gesprekken focusten we op de vraag wat wel goed gaat, hoe we van elkaar kunnen leren en wat er de komende tijd verbeterd moet Op basis daarvan maakte een illustratrice een visueel verslag met de belangrijkste uitkomsten van het ochtendprogramma. Daarmee zorgde zij in korte tijd voor een heldere en actiegerichte verslaglegging. Een beeld dat bleef hangen is die van de olievlek die langzaam steeds groter wordt. Zo verspreidt zich ook het gedachtegoed van Erkennen &amp; Waarderen binnen de instellingen. Deelnemers maakten zelf een keuze voor een onderwerp waarover zij verdiepend wilden spreken. Daarbij kregen zij de opdracht de opbrengst van de ochtend verder te concretiseren. Het leidde tot mooie en soms heel tastbare idee\u00ebn. E\u00e9n van de groepen kwam bijvoorbeeld met het idee om wetenschappers in leidinggevende functies verplicht een leiderschapsprogramma te laten volgen en een accreditatie in te voeren. Juist voor <em>early career<\/em> wetenschappers dienen leidinggevenden een rolmodel te zijn.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fd06fbd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fd06fbd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>We zien terug op een inspirerende bijeenkomst, waarin de dialoog centraal stond.
